Located in: Edificio San José UCA, Av. Alicia Moreau de Justo 1680, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
The venue is located in the newest neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires, Puerto Madero, and very close to San Telmo.
During the conference we will use rooms that are located in 3 buildings of Universidad Catolica Argentina, UCA. The 3 buildings are one after the other along Av. Alicia Moreau de Justo. From South to North the buildings are: San Jose, San Alberto Magno and Santa Maria.
There will be only one entrance for StatPhys27 participants. This entrance is located at the southern end of Building San Jose (address: Av. Alicia Moreau de Justo 1680).
There is an underground passway that connects the 3 buildings that we will use. Participants should use that passway to move between the spaces that we will use during the conference. Please see the schemes below for details.
All plenary sessions will take place in room Juan Pablo II located in the second level of building San Jose, the building of the entrance to the conference. One of the five parallel sessions will take place in this room as well.
Most parallel sessions will be held in Building San Jose as well. On Level 1: Aula 110/111 & Aula Magna. On Level 0: Auditorio 1 Dr Valsecchi.
One of the five parallel sessions will take place in room Santa Cecilia, which is in building San Alberto Magno. A person will be all the time at the gate that separates this building from building San Jose to guarantee an easy circulation for StatPhys27 participants.
The posters will be exhibited in room San Agustin, located in building Santa Maria. The APS and DFG sponsored sessions will take place in this room during the lunch time of Monday and Wednesday, respectively. Those days, lunch boxes will be distributed at the foyer of this room.
At 7:00PM on Wednesday we will have a special session on Women in Physics networking. This will start in room Juan Pablo II and then move to Sala de Lectura. We will have this room for us with tables and seats from Wednesday through Friday.
Please check out the schemes below to understand the spatial organization. Monday and Tuesday are holidays in Argentina, so the buildings will be mostly occupied by StatPhys27 participants and nobody else during those two days which will make the navigation much easier.
We hereby provide some useful information for your trip. In particular, we five you some information on options of where to stay in Buenos Aires during Statphys.
